Sanjose Welfare Centre is a charitable society registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary scientific and charitable societies Registration Act XII of 1955. (S. No. K. 322 of 1978). It is managed by Sisters of St. Joseph's Congregation in the Arch diocese of Kottayam, Kerala.

It is a Non profit making society extending its services to all people irrespective of race, community, caste or creed and engaged chiefly in the care for physically, mentally and multiple disabled, special education, rehabilitation and social work.

The St. Joseph's Congregation (SJC) was founded on July 3, 1928 in Kaipuzha in the Archdiocese of Kottayam, by the Servant of God Poothathil Thommiachan with the approval of the then Bishop Mar Alexander Choolapparambil. The Congregation was started on July 3, 1928 with the permission of Bp. Mar Alexander Choolapparambil. The spirit of the Congregation is succinctly expressed in its motto "Love and Serve". The Congregation is engaged chiefly in the following apostolic services: care of the physically and mentally disabled, Old Age Homes, Centers for the terminally ill, Care and Support for HIV/AIDS Patients, Hospitals, Schools, Hostels, Parish Ministry, Centres ofSocial development of the poor, women etc.
